The man breaks out, looking at his money
Armands Runčels (69), a resident of the city’s rural area, has spent all his money looking at the account balance at the ATM several times. Although he is a customer of Hansabanka, there is only an ATM of SEB Unibanka near the rural store in the city. Before shopping, Runnel usually checks how much money is left on the card.
He did the same today and found out that the account still has lats and nine santims. After carefully choosing the goods in the store, the total value of which was lats and nine santims, Runčels went to the cash register, where not only the cashier was waiting for him, but also an unpleasant surprise: there was not enough money in the account. A repeated attempt to authorize the purchase was also unsuccessful.
After leaving the shopping cart in the store, Runnel went out to check the balance. It turned out to be only ninety-nine santims! Not knowing what was going on, he went back to the store and picked goods for ninety-nine santims, but there was not enough money in the account again! Despite the cashier’s dissatisfaction, Runnel went to see the balance at the ATM again. It was eighty-nine santims… Money literally melted. The series of failures did not end there. Having measured the way from the store to the ATM eight more times and the last time he chose candy for nine santims, Runchel couldn’t even buy it. Looking at the account balance, he saw that it was minus one penny.
